garlider.jpg The beautiful 4 hectare estate of Christian Kerschbaumer sits at the southern end of the Valle Isarco. The tiny vineyard produces a miserly 16,000 bottles from the tough rocky quartz schist soils which are planted to Veltliner, Sylvaner, Gewurztraminer, Muller Thurgau, Pinot Grigio and a tiny parcel of Pinot Noir.

The grapes are grown with organic principles (since 2003) using only copper, sulphur and plant extracts and the winemaking follows a natural path with ambient yeasts and fermentation takes place in large format acacia barrels. The resultant wines are dynamic and rich in personality with underlying 'mountain' feel.
